Pastor Rob Davis: Matt. 7:13,14

In Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus makes four distinct contrasts as He commands us to enter through the narrow gate:

  1. There are two gates.
    1. One is wide (v. 13b).
    2. One is narrow/small (v. 13a & 14a).
  2. There are two ways.
    1. One is broad (v. 13c).
    2. One is narrow (v. 14b).
  3. There are two destinations.
    1. One is destruction (v. 13d).
    2. One is life (v. 14c).
  4. There are two groups of people.
    1. One is large (v. 13e).
    2. One is small (v. 14d).
