October 26, 2008: Matt. 16:1-4
October 26, 2008Pastor Rob Davis: Matt. 16:1-4
In Matthew 16:1-4 we observe three results of the unbelief of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
- Because of their unbelief the Pharisees and the Sadducees, usually enemies, were united against Jesus (v. 1).
- Because of their unbelief Jesus assesses the hearts of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
- You are worldly wise (vv. 2, 3a).
- You are spiritually ignorant (v. 3b).
- Because of their unbelief Jesus condemns the Pharisees and Sadducees.
- You are evil because you keep seeking signs instead of seeing the Savior (v. 4).
- You are adulterous because you keep seeking signs instead of seeing the Savior (v. 4).
