Pastor Rob Davis: Eph. 4:11-16

In Ephesians 4:11-16 Paul lists the ministers of the Word given as gifts to the church (v. 11) and describes three marks of a faithful ministry.

1. Faithful ministers of the Word will prioritize specific tasks.
   1. Equipping (v. 12a).
   2. Building (v. 12b).
2. Faithful ministers of the Word will pursue specific goals.
   1. Unity (v. 13a).
   2. Knowledge (v. 13b).
   3. Maturity (v. 13c).
3. Faithful ministers of the Word will see specific results.
   1. Spiritual growth (stated negatively): No longer individual, gullible children (v. 14).
   2. Spiritual growth (stated positively): Growing into a mature, unified body (vv. 15-16).
