May 10, 2009: Eph. 4:17-24
May 10, 2009Pastor Rob Davis: Eph. 4:17-24
In Ephesians 4:17-24 Paul illuminates the radical differences between those who are saved and those who are not by contrasting the characteristics of the non-believer’s walk with those of the believer’s walk.
- The walk of the non-believer is marked by three characteristics:
- Intellectual futility (vv. 17-18a).
- Exclusion from God.
- Because of their ignorance (v. 18b).
- Because of their hard hearts (v 18c).
- Moral depravity (v. 19).
- The walk of the believer is marked by three characteristics:
- Christ centeredness (vv. 20-21).
- Intellectual renewal (vv. 22-23).
- Godly character.
- Righteous (v. 24a).
- Holy (v. 24b)
