Pastor Rob Davis: Eph. 4:17-24

In Ephesians 4:17-24 Paul illuminates the radical differences between those who are saved and those who are not by contrasting the characteristics of the non-believer’s walk with those of the believer’s walk.

1. The walk of the non-believer is marked by three characteristics:
   1. Intellectual futility (vv. 17-18a).
   2. Exclusion from God.
      1. Because of their ignorance (v. 18b).
      2. Because of their hard hearts (v 18c).
   3. Moral depravity (v. 19).
2. The walk of the believer is marked by three characteristics:
   1. Christ centeredness (vv. 20-21).
   2. Intellectual renewal (vv. 22-23).
   3. Godly character.
      1. Righteous (v. 24a).
      2. Holy (v. 24b)
